Ras Al Khaimah (RAK), the northernmost of the seven United Arab Emirates, covers an area of 2,486 square kilometres and has an estimated population of 400,000. The emirate is distinguished by its varied topography, which includes a 64-kilometre coastline, mountain ranges, deserts, and fertile plains.

In addition to its natural assets, Ras Al Khaimah serves as a vital industrial centre, supporting the UAE’s economy through sectors such as manufacturing, tourism, and agriculture. Its strategic position is enhanced by the Ras Al Khaimah International Airport and well-developed road networks, which provide seamless connectivity to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and other emirates.

Connectivity

Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) offers a distinct contrast to the other emirates in the UAE with a growing reputation for tourism, manufacturing and real estate investment. Ras Al Khaimah International Airport (RKT) plays a crucial role in regional and international connectivity.

The airport offers direct flights to major regional hubs like Cairo, Doha, Islamabad and Peshawar, among others. While there are no domestic flights within the UAE, visitors can easily fly into Dubai International Airport (DXB) or Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) - from which it is a 60-90 minute car ride to RAK.
